CLAT PG
CLAT PG is a national level, postgraduate law exam conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities. The exam is conducted for:
- Admission to PG law courses offered at the participating NLUs
- Admissions to Private and self-financed colleges
- PSUs recruitment for legal positions
Eligibility Criteria for CLAT PG
A candidate appearing for CLAT PG should have an undergraduate degree in law from a BCI recognized law college/ University. The minimum marks required for different categories are listed below:
- 50% marks for General/ OBC category
- 45% marks for SC/ ST categories
Age limit
There is no upper age limit for the exam.
Exam pattern
- Mode of Exam – Offline
- Duration of the exam- 2 hours
- Type of questions- Multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
- Total questions- 120 questions
- Maximum marks- 120 marks
- Marking scheme- 1 for correct answer, -0.25 for incorrect answer
- Subjects- Mandatory subjects of undergraduate program like Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Torts,Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, and Labor & Industrial Law.
